MAIN DESCRIPTION
In the Wake Of feels like the aftermath of an unseen elemental force moving through the canvas. Green, yellow, violet, black, white, and gray sweep across the surface in layered currents, creating the sense of nature in motion without becoming a literal landscape.
The title leaves the cause unfinished. The viewer is placed inside the wake, after something has passed through, disturbed the field, and left behind color, pressure, and residue. The darker cellular marks keep the piece from feeling purely decorative, giving the painting an organic charge that feels alive, unstable, and slightly untamed.
What holds the eye is the way the brighter green movement bends around darker pockets and pale forms, as if the painting is showing not the event itself, but what remains after it. The result is a compact abstract work with a strong sense of motion, natural force, and unresolved aftermath.
