MAIN DESCRIPTION
Bend to the Tide takes its title from the moment the painting moved away from the original plan. The intention was for all four corners to carry a similar banded appearance, creating a balanced rhythm around the canvas. Instead, the lower right corner did not form the same layered bands. That area visually gives way, bending inward beneath the pull of the other three corners.
That shift became the identity of the painting. The composition moves through strong bands of color that feel pulled, folded, and pushed across the surface. Where the banding holds, the piece has rhythm and direction. Where the structure breaks, the painting gains tension. The eye follows the movement around the canvas, then lands on the lower right, where the pattern refuses to fully repeat.
Rather than correcting that imbalance, the piece keeps it. Bend to the Tide is about pressure, response, and the moment an artwork stops following the plan and becomes itself.

Each piece begins as an original abstract acrylic painting created by the artist using fluid acrylic techniques. Because these paintings are created through a natural process of color movement, interaction, and surface chemistry, every foundation painting is inherently unique and cannot be reproduced.
When used within the Forge system, these original paintings serve as the foundation layer for a dimensional B.O.X. artwork. Additional layered design elements are constructed and assembled in the studio to complete the final work. Since each Forge B.O.X. is built upon a singular abstract foundation, no two finished pieces can ever be identical.
Every work is assigned a unique archive record and corresponding UPC/COA number at the time of completion. The number is recorded within the Creatively Cutz studio archive and appears on the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity.
