MAIN DESCRIPTION
Alchemy of Shadows moves through a deep field of indigo, black, turquoise, and cobalt, with brighter blue areas breaking through the darker surface. The composition has a sense of depth created by jagged edges, feathered paint movement, and small white flecks cutting through the darker areas.
The title connects to the way the painting appears to transform from shadow into color. The darker surface does not stay flat or closed off; it opens in places, letting the blues and lighter marks emerge through the surrounding void.
