MAIN DESCRIPTION
After the Break, It Bloomed is an abstract painting built from layered canvas forms arranged into a broken, vertical structure. The piece uses its shape as part of the composition, allowing the canvases to shift, overlap, and interrupt one another rather than staying within a single flat rectangle.
Across the surface, deep burgundy, mauve, rose, orange, white, black, and flashes of teal move through the work in fluid blooms and splattered motion. The floral forms feel as though they are emerging from disruption, opening across the fractured layout rather than despite it. The tilted canvases create shadows and separation, giving the painting a physical sense of rupture, lift, and rebuilding.
The title points to the heart of the piece: something has broken, but the break did not end the work. It became the place where the bloom appeared. After the Break, It Bloomed holds both fracture and softness at once, turning the disrupted structure into a site of growth, movement, and renewed presence.
